Chicken Burgers

This is a very simple chicken burger recipe, perfect for grilling, roasting or baking.  These healthy chicken burgers are tender and delicious and this homemade chicken burger recipe is a great base to be customized with different herbs, spices and more.  We used Classic Roasted Chicken Cookstix to add a pop of flavor to the recipe, and the Cookstix provides necessary salt for the recipe.

Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken
1 Classic Roasted Chicken Cookstix
½ yellow onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced 
1 egg
4 buns 

Preparation

Combine ground chicken, Cookstix, onion, garlic, egg and pepper and mix gently to combine. Form into 4 4-oz patties (tip: about a half cup) and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes (or overnight) before cooking to set.  Cook on the grill, stove top or in the oven until cooked through.

Note: if you are grilling, if the burger mixture feels wet, start on a piece of tin foil and flip onto the grill once it is holding its shape. Serve with Burger Buns and your favorite veg +  condiments.
